Santa Barbara is waking up. Over the past decade, the downtown's industrial area has evolved from run-down warehouses to posh wine bars. The excitement is spreading and old neighborhoods are distinguishing themselves with new breweries, art galleries and health clubs. The newest area to claim its identity is the Lagoon District. An area who's streets are named after an early 20th century flood is now ready for a new rush of neighborhood collaboration and commerce.
